Role Summary:
As a Systems Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our IT infrastructure, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining critical systems. Your primary focus will be managing and optimizing our Microsoft Azure and O365 environments, ensuring seamless operations, security, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Microsoft Azure and O365 environments, including security configurations, resource provisioning, and access management.
- Design, implement, and support cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, Azure DNS, and other services, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Lead the deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft O365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Administer and optimize identity and access management through Azure Active Directory (AD), Entra, and other related services, ensuring security and compliance.
- Configure and maintain DNS, virtual networks, and other networking components within Azure, ensuring smooth cloud infrastructure operations.
- Manage and maintain the Cisco Meraki network platform to ensure high availability, security, and optimal performance across 130 locations.
- Assist with system automation, scripting, and the use of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform to streamline operational processes and reduce manual effort.
- Ensure strong integration and communication between cloud services and on-premises infrastructure where needed, maintaining hybrid environments.
- Monitor and maintain system performance, security, and availability, providing proactive support and resolving incidents in a timely manner.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, governance policies, and compliance standards across Azure and O365 platforms.
- Provide documentation, training, and knowledge sharing across IT teams, enhancing cross-functional collaboration.
- Work closely with the IT leadership team to align infrastructure strategies with business goals, providing technical recommendations and insights.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Strong expertise in managing and maintaining Microsoft Azure and O365 environments.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory, Entra, virtual machines, DNS, and networking solutions within Azure.
- Proficiency in Office 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Familiarity with Azure networking components like virtual networks, load balancers, and DNS configuration.
- Experience managing CrowdStrike or other endpoint security platforms.
- Strong knowledge of network security principles and practices, including firewall configuration and VPN management.
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for automation and system administration tasks.
- Experience with Terraform for managing infrastructure as code.
- Solid understanding of cloud security, identity management, and governance best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems in both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Certification in Microsoft Azure or O365 is a plus (e.g., Azure Administrator, Solutions Architect, O365 Administrator).
- Bonus: Experience with networking technologies, particularly Cisco Meraki, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network devices such as switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, is a plus.

Position type and expected hours of work
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Brentwood, TN. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.
